Launch of new Nature and Rewilding Apprenticeship Course.

There has never been a more urgent need to educate young people about nature. The latest findings from the Stockholm Resilience Centre paint a bleak picture that reveals we have now crossed 6 planetary boundaries and are in clear and present danger of triggering the collapse of the Earth’s living systems. We have to transition to a regenerative culture now, and young people must be equipped, empowered and given agency to create this change - up to date, relevant, ecological nature centred education is central to this.

Following on from the success of our pilot last year, and through funds raised on our crowdfunder campaign, we are excited to announce the new 2023/24 version of the Nature and Rewilding Apprenticeship Course for schools is now live. Schools can enrol and sign up through the OFH Rewilding Education Centre, - the education programme is also supported by our book The Rewilding Manual for Schools.

The first year of the pilot has brought brilliant results, with outstanding young people creating some inspired rewilding plans for their schools, below are just a few examples. The students who complete our course go forward with an understanding of how our planet works, the importance of restoring nature and a vision for the future where all life and species on Earth can thrive. Please support us and spread the word about our work.

Please support a school near you to join our education programme today.

Together we can help young people reconnect with nature and prepare for their future as Earth stewards and caretakers of the natural world.
